Collegiate Recruitment Event for Nation’s Top High School Performing Fine Arts Students Announced
Online PR News – 03-March-2020 – New York, NY – National Presenters Association has announced the inaugural Performers National Signing Day, a national collegiate recruitment and audition experience for high school performing fine arts students. The announcement was made during the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Annual Convention in San Antonio, Texas, the nation's largest and most influential state music educators convention.
This inaugural experience will be a four-day event held in January 2021, during the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Holiday weekend (January 16-19, 2021). The first three days are designed for showcase/audition presentations, along with opportunities for personal interaction between students/parents and colleges/universities/conservatories. The culminating event will be a star-studded concert held in Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium on Tuesday afternoon, January 19, 2021, and will highlight the decisions made between students and scholarship awarding institutions.
"It's our mission to create a vibrant and valuable opportunity for students to showcase their talents to colleges, universities and conservatories who are actively seeking the best students for their programs. By doing so, we will transform the collegiate recruitment process for students and celebrate the impact of music education on young lives across the nation. We decided to make this announcement at TMEA because it represents the largest, most accomplished and revered music education system in the country. The response from educators, students and the higher education community was enthusiastic and more supportive than we could have hoped. The music education community and higher education have captured the vision for Performers National Signing Day in its mission to recognize and support these students," states David Campbell, Executive Producer, Performing Arts National Signing Day.
Student applicant registration opens March 1, 2020 at www.performersnationalsigningday.com.
Performing Arts National Signing Day is sponsored and produced by National Presenters Association in coordination with supportive music education associations including Midwest Clinic, Music for All and Bands of America as well as prominent institutions of higher learning.
