TofuKitty Club announces that all of its product packaging will be updated to better serve its customers and reduce the company’s carbon footprint.
Online PR News – 25-February-2020 – Newark, DE – TofuKitty Club, the company that brought you an eco-friendly kitty litter made of tofu, just announced that all product packaging will be updated to better serve its customers and reduce the company’s carbon footprint. The company will no longer ship individual bags out to customers; every order will be sent out in a new, sturdy biodegradable cardboard box that provides customers with two bags of litter. By streamlining the packaging and shipping process, they’ll be reducing emissions, pollution, and waste. With these updates, TofuKitty continues to expand upon their mission to keep the earth green and all its inhabitants safe.
“We asked our customers how we could improve for them, and one area that kept coming up was the packaging. Our customers are very eco-conscious; they requested a greener, more sturdy option...so that’s what we gave them,” said Molly Anderson, founder of the TofuKitty Club. “The cardboard box is 100% biodegradable, so when recycled properly, it reduces waste in the landfills. The litter is also packaged in a lighter, more durable plastic that is not particularly energy-intensive to manufacture,” she goes on to say.
TofuKitty Club, a startup out of Delaware, first hit the US direct-to-consumer market in 2018, offering 100% plant-based, eco-friendly cat litter, delivered directly to your doorstep. The company’s founder and environmental ecologist Ms. Molly Anderson, created TofuKitty with the vision to help reduce pet product waste and create a kitty litter that’s safe for cats, humans, and is gentle on the planet. TofuKitty litter, a safe alternative to clay and crystal litters, is free of harmful chemicals, clumping agents, and other toxins that have been linked to cancer and diseases. What’s more, TofuKitty is made of recycled plant parts which naturally help reduce greenhouse gasses. TofuKitty litter is compostable, flushable, and biodegradable. Every TofuKitty customer helps us reduce the 180,000 dump-trucks-worth of clay and crystal litter that end up in landfills each year.
“As a company, we’re continuously looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint while making the subscription process easier for our customers. Our advancement in packaging and shipping is a natural progression to creating a more sustainable product. We’re true to our mission; our team is working to create a greener planet, to reduce our environmental impact, and to improve human (and pet) health,” Anderson said.
TofuKitty Club is currently only available to the US market. Those interested in a monthly subscription to TofuKitty Club’s eco-friendly litter, can easily set up their first delivery through their website: https://tofukittyclub.com. All TofuKitty Club subscriptions come with free shipping.
