WHEN YOU’VE GOT IT, FLAUNT IT
Online PR News – 05-February-2020 – Norwich, Norfolk – Utopia’s first new products brochure of 2020 is 33 pages of pure style. From fine glassware to polycarbonates, cutlery to tealights and tableware, they are all new and designed to suit a variety of venues occasions. There are 250 items to choose from and they are all in stock.
Making a real impact on the tabletop is the vitrified porcelain Omega, which combines a contemporary design of shallow bowl shape, a natural mottled outer shell with a dramatic black inner. It creates the perfect foil for a dish. There are two very shallow straight-sided bowls measuring 26cm and 18.5cm with a small slightly higher sided 6.25cm bowl. This smallest bowl sits neatly inside the larger ones to separate serving items in a simple but visually pleasing fashion.
Metallics are hot this year in tableware. The striking metal look of the Shield range exemplifies strength and power, making a dramatic statement on any table, while the raw metallic tones of Apollo are perfect to bring out the vibrancy of dishes. With the subtle contours allowing light to be caught and add further atmosphere to the table.
An easy way to set the mood across all tables in bars and restaurants is to use Utopia’s new tealight holders. Often overlooked, tealights are evident on every table and really set the tone of an establishment. With different textures and colours, the range includes ribbed, bubbled, criss-crossed and swirled finishes in a variety of shapes, all designed for stability and durability.
To add some more sparkle to a busy bar try the toughened, stacking Grande Sunray range suitable for long drinks and shorts or fruit juices. Altogether there are four new toughened stacking ranges: Grande Sunray, Hill, Timeless Vintage, and Highness. Another alternative and a great way to present fresh springtime drinks are the Leafy glasses with their more chunky shape.
The Savage range of cocktail glasses has a simple and delicate design so the drink becomes the star. The elegant long-stemmed glasses include a coupetini, a pony and a coupe all created with the collaboration of award winning mixologist Remy Savage.
On the polycarbonate front, Utopia is introducing its Lucent plastics range. These premium, virtually unbreakable polycarbonates are perfect for both indoor and outside events where safety is an over-riding concern. The Lucent vintage martini glass gives texture and shape to the serve while being ultra-clear, safe and durable. The Symphony stacking hiball and old fashioned glasses are classic shapes taking polycarbonates to another level.
The Umana collection of glassware is by the renowned Italian sommelier Maurizia Dante Fillipi using a ‘handmade by machine’ design. The technology produces fine, brilliant and high-quality products that are machine made but indistinguishable from handmade products. The collection includes tulip-shaped glasses for red and white wines, a more bulbous shape for full bodied red wines, a still water tumbler and a sparkling water tumbler.
The Astoria cutlery range, designed by one of the most experienced international product designers in the world, Nick Holland, is a reinterpretation of Art Deco style to enhance a table setting. Its plain design and 100% brushed polish give it charm and understated elegance.
