Online PR News – 05-November-2019 – Orlando – Friendly Confines sports bar, restaurant is pleased to announce that their new Charity Challenge XXXV Bingo events will benefit three local charities - Melsbgc.org/Give.Local.Love, Imagine Our Florida and The Oranole Foundation. The weekly fundraising events take place every Sunday during NFL Football games at the new Friendly Confines located in the Altamonte Mall.
"We believe in the mission of each of these charities and decided to spread our goodwill by supporting three worthy causes instead of just one," said Carmen Jordan, Friendly Confines owner and founder. "We are proud that all of the Friendly Confines in Central Florida give back to their local communities."
Mel's BGC/Give.Local.Love is a 501c3 organization whose mission is to provide locally based Central Florida charities, families and individuals with needed items, volunteer assistance and/or monetary contributions. The organization is 100% volunteer based and has donated numerous items of necessity, meals, more than 10,000 toys and raised over $750,000 to be used in the local community.
Imagine Our Florida is a local charity dedicated to preserving and protecting Florida's wildlife, habitat and ecosystem. Through science-based education, Imagine Our Florida strives to empower the people of Florida to advocate for our wildlife, practice environmental stewardship and co-exist within our unique ecosystems.
The Oranole Foundation provides food and valuable resources for homeless and hungry children in Central Florida, working to fight childhood hunger, one meal at a time. Their goal is to see all children having sufficient access to nourishing foods on a daily basis by placing a food pantry in local schools and sustaining them on a weekly basis.
The new Friendly Confines is hosting the Sunday Charity Challenge in their newest location in the Altamonte Mall during the NFL afternoon games. "We have created an all-in-one sports and dining experience in Altamonte Springs and our guests love it," said Jordan. "It is a great partnership since Friendly Confines is already THE place to watch sports in Altamonte Springs."
Located at 451 E. Altamonte Drive (next to Barnes & Nobles), Friendly Confines is a sports-themed, casual dining establishment featuring Chicago-inspired comfort food and multiple sports viewing options on more than 60 large screen televisions.
In addition to the sports bar and restaurant, The Altamonte Mall location includes an 800-square-foot Friendly Confines Collectibles Store stocked with rare memorabilia and sought-after merchandise from major sports teams, players and celebrities. "Our customers can enjoy the big game on one of our many large screen TVs, dine on our great food in an exciting sports-inspired environment, and shop for sports memorabilia in our adjacent store," said Jordan.
Located in the former Elephant Bar space, Friendly Confines underwent a $2 million renovation project to create a flagship store that serves as the prototype for future franchises. The 10,000-square-foot Friendly Confines has seating for 260 guests, with a huge circular bar in the center of restaurant creating a dramatic and attractive focal point. There is a dedicated space for meetings and group events that can seat 75-125 guests.
Friendly Confines is described as a Chicago-themed sports restaurant featuring classic menu items such as burgers, sandwiches, ribs, salads, chicken wings and much more. Especially popular are the restaurant's world-famous Cubbie Claws, which are chicken tenders made fresh daily from the breast and offered with 33 sauce flavors.
The new Altamonte location offers daily specials such as: Monday "All You Can Eat Cubbie Claws" from 5-10 pm; "Taco Tuesday" including beer and margarita specials from 2-9 p.m.; "Ladies Nights" on Wednesday from 5-10 p.m., and more.
