Hudson's Family to Raise $500,000 for Scotland Cay/ Abaco Island Relief Efforts
Online PR News – 03-October-2019 – Ormond Beach, FL – After the devastating destruction caused by Hurricane Dorian, one local Ormond beach family is working to help restore Scotland Cay Island. Scotland Cay is part of Great Abaco Islands that was just ravaged by Category 5 Hurricane Dorian. Homes of the full-time residents of Scotland Cay were destroyed, and immediate relief is needed.
To support these relief efforts a GoFundMe account has been launched on behalf of the Hudson family to raise funds ($500,000) that will go directly towards construction equipment, supplies, and needed restoration of the Island.
To reiterate their support, the Hudson family has already contributed over $50,000 in flights, fuel, and supplies towards the restoration of Scotland Cay Island. "This rebuild is close to our hearts," said C. Fred Hudson of Ormond Beach. "Our family has been building memories there for decades and we will do all we can to help the people rebuild and restore."
The restoration of this beloved island is the Hudson's family goal. With the communities support, relief will be directly given, to those who need immediate help.
