Baker Tilly, together with financial advisory and restructuring company Ferrier Hodgson Pte. Ltd. today announced that they are joining forces in Singapore.

The combination will result in Ferrier Hodgson changing its name with immediate effect and will operate under the Baker Tilly brand moving forward, and the team led by industry veteran Tim Reid will be seamlessly integrated into the Baker Tilly network.
Tim Reid will continue to provide specialist counsel to his current portfolio of clients, while extending his and his team's strategic advisory services to Baker Tilly Singapore's and regional clients. Baker Tilly in Singapore provides services which include assurance, tax, deal advisory, governance and risk, restructuring and recovery, outsourcing, and corporate secretarial services. With the partnership, Baker Tilly will broaden its service suite to include a leading specialist restructuring, turnaround and forensic advisory practice.

Tim Reid and his colleague Theresa Ng are currently Receivers of the Power Plant owned by Tuaspring, a Hyflux subsidiary. They have been involved in numerous landmark cases including being appointed Receivers of the Singapore Flyer, Judicial Manager as well as Liquidator of Borders Singapore Pte Ltd., and Liquidator of J.V. Fitness Pte Ltd., the operator of California Fitness gyms in Singapore.
Tim was appointed Chairman of First Ship Lease Trust when it was in financial distress and during a four-year period, he oversaw the Trust's debt reduce from USD425 million to USD132 million and secured a new sponsor for the Trust. Tim has also provided expert witness services for litigation cases in Singapore, the British Virgin Islands and London. He was retained by the Singapore Press Holdings in the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) case and was subsequently retained by the newly appointed NKF Board in its action brought against TT Durai and other former NKF Board Members.
