Online PR News – 19-July-2019 – Chesterfield – Cohen Architectural Woodworking announces Nate Cohen, Chief Financial Officer, has been named to Wood Industry's 2019 class of 40 Under 40.

Cohen, age 29, joins a select group considered by their peers to be innovators, achievers - and even disruptors - who demonstrate excellence in the categories of: productivity, profitability, social good, ingenuity, peer inspiration, product development, organizational leadership, or another facet of the wood industry. Announced by the Woodworking Network, this marks the fourth annual awarding of the 40 Under 40, which celebrates the next generation of industry professionals who are making an impact on wood products manufacturing in North America.

"Nate has performed and excelled in various roles for our family owned business for some 24 years. From sweeping the shop floor at age 5, to serving in engineering, and in project management and now CFO, he has done it all and done it extremely well," said Phillip Cohen, CEO.

Despite logging more than 150 days on business travel each year, Nate Cohen is heavily involved in community service. "When a tornado practically flattened the entire city of Joplin, MO, Nate and his team were asked to rebuild two important Joplin schools. Despite facing impossible deadlines Nate spearheaded this effort and his team completed the project on time for the next school year. He volunteers with several organizations and plays a role with up-and-coming woodworkers and business owners," Phillip Cohen said.

The eighth of nine Cohen children, Cohen won international woodworking competitions in high school including first place in ACE International Woodworking Competition for three consecutive years. A skilled woodworker, Cohen also has built chess tables for the U.S. Chess Club in St. Louis and the St. Louis Cardinals players' clubhouse. He also has helped develop precision tracking tools for the company.

"I want to thank my family, colleagues and fellow woodworkers who continue to create outstanding craftsmanship in the commercial woodworking industry, and make all this possible. Most of all I would like to thank the clients of Cohen Architectural Woodworking who have allowed us to design and build customized commercial woodworking projects for them for over three decades," Nate Cohen said.
