Feeding Windsor will be providing expanded meal service weekly at St. John's Anglican Church through our community meal program in Windsor's west-end.
Online PR News – 05-June-2019 – Windsor – Feeding Windsor is pleased to announce that beginning Thursday, July 4th we will be providing expanded meal service weekly at St. John's Anglican Church through our community meal program in Windsor's west-end at Sandwich St and Brock St. Feeding Windsor is currently funded completely by donations from individuals, businesses and churches in Windsor-Essex. The program provides free breakfast, lunch, and community suppers four days a week and serves approximately 7000-8000 people each month.
Feeding Windsor Project Coordinator Rodger Fordham said, "Our involvement in the west-end is important and timely, with 2 out of 3 juvenile residents living in poverty."
Please join us at Ambassador Baptist Church Wednesday, June 5th at 5 pm for Feeding Windsor's official announcement of this expansion from Project Coordinator Rodger Fordham. We will also be discussing our recently launched lunch program at the Community Housing Corporation Cottages on Campbell Ave, and will announce our further plans for programs to address food insecurity in the city's west end. Presenting a cheque will be Frank Murgic, President of Sunshine Drugs Family of Pharmacies and MyEasyDose, and a long-time lead sponsor of Feeding Windsor's lunch service. Also in attendance is city counsellor Fabio Costante, who will briefly speak on the initiative and its importance to the neighbourhood.
Media attendance is encouraged. For more information, please contact Rodger Fordham at (519) 560-7311, or email@example.com or Chris Overton, Marketing Director MyEasyDose (www.myeasydose.ca, firstname.lastname@example.org).
