Community invited to cheer on local radio personalities in Southgate as they compete to raise $10,000; Contest for public to win free Planet Fitness membership
Online PR News – 27-March-2019 – SOUTHGATE, MI – Planet Fitness, one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness clubs in the U.S., will host the Healthy Planet Challenge fundraiser on Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m.- noon at its Southgate location. The event is sponsored by all metro Detroit area Planet Fitness locations. Local Entercom radio personalities will compete to raise funds for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan (BGCSM). The Planet Fitness in Southgate is located at 13591 Eureka Road. The event is free and open to the public and will include catering from Panera, free Planet Fitness swag, and raffles for special prizes.
Since January, the radio personalities have been training in Detroit area Planet Fitness clubs to build their endurance for this challenge. If they each successfully complete the 60-minute triathlon during the event, Planet Fitness will donate $10,000 to the BGCSM.
Participating radio personalities are: Roberta Jasina of WWJ Newsradio 950, Mike Stone (Stoney) from WXYT 97.1, Ian Richards from WDZH 98.7, Stephen Clark from WOMC 104.3 and Holly Hutton from WYCD 99.5.

Also, since January, the public has been invited to participate in the corresponding Planet Fitness Challenge contest. The promotion gives entrants (18 or older) a chance to win a FREE 12-month Planet Fitness Black Card® membership. Those interested can go to any participating Planet Fitness, take a picture with the Planet Fitness Challenge contest sign and tweet it with #PFFitnessContest.
