Art collectors and curators open online art library for worldwide audience
Online PR News – 13-March-2019 – Barcelona, Spain – Catalogue Rouge Ltd. which opened on 1th of March 2019 is a new online digital art library cataloguerouge.com. It's goal is to collect together all catalogues raisonnÃ©s, artists books, museums and exhibition catalogues, auction houses sales catalogues, monographs on art and other art related publications online. Such information was previously never available online on one resource or was limited to the paper editions.
Cataloguerouge.com with the database of over 16K publications on art gives scholars, art market specialists, researchers, art collectors, museum curators and other interested parties the comprehensive access to all the specific professional information on art.
The Platform was founded in 2017 by art the collector and independent researcher Val Postavinski in Helsinki, Finland. While making his provenance research Mr. Postavinski faced difficulties finding necessary information online. This problem is known and common for all the art market specialists and art history researchers and enthusiasts. The project was supported by Dorotheum Auction House, Vienna, Austria (dorotheum.com) and National Library of France (https://www.bnf.fr)
Cataloguerouge.com invites all the publishers of art books to collaborate in increasing the database of online art publications for a large audience.
The Access to the database is available under the fee-based subscription, but plenty of content is also available for free.
