MedAware Systems is presenting new Alzheimer's research at the annual meeting of the American College of Sports Medicine

Online PR News – 01-March-2019 – Broomfield, CO – MedAware Systems, Inc. announced today that its latest research paper, entitled Effects of Alternative Treatments on Behavioral Outcomes in Patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment, Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia: A Comprehensive Summary of Evidence and Meta-analysis has been selected for presentation at the Annual Meeting of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). The Meeting is in Orlando, FL, May 28 - June 1, 2019.

Founded in 1954, ACSM advances and integrates scientific research to provide educational and practical applications of exercise science and sports medicine. The organization has more than 50,000 members and certified professionals from 90 countries around the globe, representing 70 occupations within the sports medicine field.
This new meta-analysis is authored by Kate Yzquierdo MBA, Anna Ivashchenko MPH, and Zung Vu Tran, PhD.

Over 300 studies were reviewed through MedAware Systems' comprehensive Dementia research database. Data from 89 studies reporting behavioral outcomes for anxiety and depression in patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), Alzheimer's, or Dementia were analyzed. No significant difference among alternative therapies was found in treatment efficacy in patients with Alzheimer's Disease or Dementia.

"This meta-analysis was done in a matter of weeks as a result of already having a massive dataset curated from over 10,000 published research papers in Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease", said Michael Willis, CEO. He continued, "This new finding speaks to the power of having all available evidence from published medical science at your fingertips. This vision is our core driver, and we continually see it empowering important research. MedAware Systems asks: 'What could you do with all the data?' As it turns out, quite a lot."
