New members bring combined leadership and team building skills to board of directors
Online PR News – 16-January-2019 – Oxnard, Ca – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme announces the addition of Dee Dee Beltran and Sean Morreale to its board of directors. Beltran is the assistant vice president of consumer lending and collections at CBC Federal Credit Union in Oxnard. Morreale is the executive vice president and regional manager at Pacific Western Bank in Ventura.
"Dee Dee and Sean are both experienced banking professionals; with their combined leadership and team building skills, they will be a great addition to our board," said Erin Antrim, chief executive officer, BGCOP. "Both their backgrounds in the banking industry and experience in volunteering will blend in nicely with the skills our other board members provide. We look forward to having them on our board."
Prior to her nine years at CBC Federal Credit Union, Beltran served as recovery manager for Santa Barbara Bank & Trust. She has more than 30 years' experience in lending and collections. An Oxnard native, she has also volunteered on the New Life Community Church board and the Angels board for Casa Pacifica, a center for children and families that provides hope and help for abused, neglected or at-risk children and their families.
Morreale has 28 years of banking industry experience, with various job functions including commercial lender, branch manager, commercial banking area manager, commercial center manager and private banking team leader. Prior to his work at Pacific Western Bank, he was the senior vice president and commercial banking manager at Citizens Business Bank. He currently serves on the Make-A-Wish Tri-Counties and the Ventura County Housing Trust Fund boards. Morreale has spent time on other boards, including the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation - Advisory Council of the Central Coast, Economic Development Collaboration and Camarillo Cosmos Youth Track Club.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme is a nonprofit 501© (3) youth service organization. BGCOP's mission is "to inspire and enable all youth, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential, as productive, responsible and caring citizens." Services are provided in three freestanding clubhouses in Oxnard and Port Hueneme which include a dedicated Teen Center, 11 public school program sites, one club site in Nyeland Acres, one site at Squires Public Housing, and the first Boys & Girls Club in a juvenile hall in the State of California. The purpose of BGCOP is to provide social, educational and recreational programs to all youth ages 6-18 years old, with an emphasis on those in underserved areas. Annual member dues are $20; however, no one is turned away regardless of ability to pay. Over 10,400 youth and teens are served annually.
