The sale begins December 17th, 2018 and includes LCR-Reader, LCR-Reader-MP, Smart Tweezers and more

Online PR News – 20-December-2018 – Waterloo – Siborg is celebrating the end of 2018 by offering a sale on popular tweezer-meters and other items in their online store. The sale includes LCR-Reader, LCR-Reader-MP and Smart Tweezers multimeters, as well as other products in their online LCR-Reader Store and Amazon sales channels.

Siborg began offering tweezer-based multimeters in the early 2000's with the Smart Tweezers line of devices. The revolutionary design combined a set of gold-plated tweezers with a lightweight multimeter in a compact device. When in contact with a component, the multimeter determined the type of component and best test conditions before measuring with high accuracy.

In 2014, Siborg launched the LCR-Reader; based on the Smart Tweezers line, the LCR-Reader is a simplified version with less features and a basic accuracy of 0.5%. The LCR-Reader offered the same functionality in a more compact device and an OLED display.

In 2017, Siborg released the LCR-Reader-MP. This device offers a higher basic accuracy of 0.1% and more features, including: LCR/ESR measurements, LED/diode/continuity testing, frequency meter, pulse counting, AC/DC voltage measurements, oscilloscope mode and a super cap test mode up to 680 mF. One of the more important features is the ability to test with a 100 kHz test frequency, which allows for a sub-nH resolution for inductance and 0.01 pF resolution for capacitance.

The current model of Smart Tweezers is the ST-5S with a 0.2% basic accuracy and wide range of features. The ST-5S is also available with a Bluetooth function which allows for remote recording of measurement values in real-time. The values are sent to a PC, Android of iOS device as a comma separated string of values that can be saved into a database or spreadsheet. THE ST5S-BT2 works with receiving software such as Tera Term of NI's Labview. A new update to the device allows users to set custom profiles for measurements; users set the desired value and, when tested, if a component meets these values it is granted a 'pass' by the software. The ability to test and record in real-time is a essential for tasks like quality control.

The other products available in the LCR-Reader Store include:
-LCR-Reader Kelvin Probe Connector set; this kit includes a shielded two-wire connection and 5 attachments. It can be used with LCR-Reader or Smart Tweezers models, including the MP. The KPC extends the reach of the probes and can be used as a probe station. It is exceptionally useful when used with MP's oscilloscope mode.

-Smart LED Test Tweezers measure LEDs using a 20 VDC output and variable current ratings. This device can also connect to multimeters using the included cable to be used as tweezer probes.

-Task Kits include accessories including batteries, spare tweezer tips, etc. and are available for LCR-Reader and Smart Tweezer devices.

-A wide variety of replacement parts for LCR-Reader and Smart Tweezers, including for older Smart Tweezers models.

The End of Year sale begins on December 17th, 2018 and ends on January 1st, 2019, and is offered through the LCR-Reader Online Store and Siborg's Amazon sales channels in USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Spain, France and Italy. [https://secure.lcr-reader.com/catalog]
