Starting Mon., October 1, customers can pre-order Vero's Thanksgiving Kit, which includes a 10- to 12-pound, non-GMO, roasted fennel pollen yogurt turkey, shallot gravy, mascarpone and lemon mashed potatoes; fig, walnut, ciabatta, and sage stuffing; blood orange and cranberry relish, fiori macaroni and cheese, and black garlic buttered green beans with sliced almonds.
The turkey is farm-raised from Double Star Farms in Benton, Ill. The kit will be delivered to customers' doors in a temperature-controlled box, includes easy-to-follow recipe cards and all of the ingredients needed to create the meal, and serves eight to 10 people.
Chef Katie Collier and her mother, Belinda Lee, curated the recipes, which were inspired by their family meals and time spent living in Italy.
"We are excited to bring this special Thanksgiving meal to our customers this year," said Collier. "This holiday meal was always one of our favorite times to gather together and enjoy laughing and being with one another. We hope that our kits can help give families and friends more quality time together rather than stressing over grocery shopping or preparing difficult meals."
Pre-sales will begin Mon., October 1 and will run until Mon., October 15. Customers can choose to order the full Thanksgiving kit, which is available to those living within a 25-mile radius, for $169 or just the sides for $99. After October 15, customers can order the full Thanksgiving kit for $198 or just the sides for $110. Early ordering is encouraged as supplies are limited.
