Houston Via Colori® The Street Painting Festival benefiting The Center for Hearing and Speech (CHS), will take over downtown Houston November 17 and 18, 2018.
Online PR News – 26-September-2018 – Houston – HOUSTON, TX (Sep 25, 2018) - Houston Via Colori® The Street Painting Festival benefiting The Center for Hearing and Speech (CHS), will once again take over downtown Houston for its 13th year November 17 and 18, 2018.
Via Colori features more than 200 local, national and international artists that create impressive chalk murals on the streets of downtown Houston. The only festival of its kind in Houston, also features three stages of live music, Via Bambini family zone, food and beverage vendors over the two-day event.
Via Colori raises more than $400,000 annually to fund health and educational services for children with hearing loss in Houston through The Center for Hearing and Speech and its renowned audiologists, teachers and speech-language pathologists.
"Via Colori brings together the Houston community to celebrate the creativity of area artists, as well as artists from around the world while spreading the mission of The Center for Hearing and Speech. This annual fundraiser allows the Center to provide hearing technology and access to specialized services within our speech therapy department and our listening and spoken language preschool regardless of the family's socioeconomic status." said Dr. Jennifer Wickesberg - Summers Interim Director.
"The proceeds from the event go directly to fund programs and services for children with hearing loss. This enables us to help all children regardless of their ability to pay." said Mari Bosker, Development Director of The Center for Hearing and Speech. "It's such a fun way to support a worthy cause!"
DEEP IN THE ART OF TEXAS
This year Via Colori recognizes the strength, beauty and uniqueness of the great state of Texas. Artists, sponsors and entertainers will come together for an entire weekend of family fun celebrating our beautiful state.
New this year, Via Colori will have a 50' x 24' Texas-sized mural featuring Houston's own Tim Walker.
For attendees that want to enjoy a Texas-sized experience, Via Colori features a VIP lounge that includes complimentary food, drinks and entertainment. VIP Lounge admission is $40.
Early bird sale tickets are $5 and ends Sep 1, general admission is $7 online and $10 at the door. Children under 18 and students with a valid college ID receive free admission. The ticket price is good for both days of the festival.
