The LCR-Reader family of multimeters incorporates a lightweight, yet powerful, multimeter with a set of precision tweezers in a compact device. The design is a time-saver; not only is it easier to grasp components, LCR-Reader will automatically determine the type of component and the best test parameters for that component. All measurement values, including main and secondary impedance values (e.g. ESR), the test mode and test frequency are instantly available on the device's OLED display.
Siborg recently released a new model of LCR-Reader [http://www.lcr-reader.com], the LCR-Reader-MP. The MP is more robust than other LCR-Reader or Smart Tweezers devices; it has the most features and the highest basic accuracy of 0.1%. This devices offers features like oscilloscope mode, continuity/LED testing, AC/DC voltage measurements, diode testing, signal generator, pulse counting, and most importantly, super large capacitance measurements. The device is also able to test at 100 kHz test frequency, which gives a better than 1 nH resolution for inductance and 0.01 pF resolution for capacitance.
The Oscilloscope mode allows for analyzing waveforms with frequencies up to 100 kHz on active circuit boards at various nodes on the PCB. This mode is especially useful when used with the LCR-Reader Kelvin Probe Connector (KPC). The KPC turns LCR-Reader, LCR-Reader-MP and Smart Tweezers into low-frequency probe station; it comes with 5 attachments, including two sizes of pin-probes, multimeter jack plugs, alligator clips and spade connector.
The MP's Large Capacitance Test Mode tests large and super capacitances up to 680 mF using a wider range of test frequencies. The MP will automatically reduce the test frequency to 25 Hertz while using the Large Cap mode, allowing for better accuracy. Caps larger than 40 mF are testing using DC. When testing electrolytic capacitors, the MP will measure at 120 Hertz while ESR values are measured at 100 kHz according to standard electrolytic capacitor test conditions.

The LCR-Reader has gained popularity since its release in 2013 as a lower-priced alternative to Smart Tweezers LCR-meters. By removing features such as parasitic offset, component sorting, and having a lower basic accuracy of 0.5%, Siborg was able to create a lower-cost device. After creating a new calibration fixture, Siborg is able to create NIST traceable calibration certificates for the LCR-Reader; this is an important feature for professionals. Siborg also offers Smart Tweezers [http://www.smarttweezers.us], the original tweezer-probe multimeter. The most recent model, the ST-5S has a 0.2% basic accuracy and extensive settings. The Smart Tweezers Bluetooth model is able to connect to iOS, Android and PC, and can remotely record measurement data through a variety of programs, including NI LabView. Recently, the Bluetooth model of Smart Tweezers has been updated to include the ability to send and receive data, such as custom profiles where users set certain parameters that components must meet in order to receive a pass from the program.

-LED Test Tweezers that test LEDs with a 12 VDC output with adjustable current ratings. This device can also test small components and circuitry, and can be used as tweezer probes for multimeters when connected using the included cable.
-Kelvin Probe Connector is a shielded two-wire extension kit with 5 different attachments. The connector is compatible with LCR-Reader, MP, and Smart Tweezers devices. It can be used a full low-frequency probe station and allows the device to measure components larger than the tweezers' gap.
-SMD Multimeter Test Tweezers are low-cost tweezer probes for most multimeters with 4 mm jack plugs. This devices will add tweezer-probe functionality to multimeters instead of using dual wire leads but is not recommended for high accuracy tasks.
