Author to speak on her new book about the bravery of animals.
Online PR News – 07-May-2018 – San Antonio, TX – This year's Northside Independent School District Story Fest, to be held May 19 at Stinson Middle School, will have a special treat for those attending.
San Antonio author Mary Virginia McCormick Pittman will be featured to speak about her new inspirational children's book, Four Legged Heroes. The book features three stories of canine courage, endurance, bravery, and fortitude. The book also includes interactive vocabulary and character building exercises to build on the themes in the stories.
"This book seems to have everything for a wonderful reading and learning experience," says Diane White of the Ohio Public School Library System. "This book can be read for pleasure or as a valuable learning resource. I loved it!"
Pittman, along with her illustrator Carol A. Howell, intends for the book to inspire children and adults with true stories that will transport readers into a world of canine courage, endurance, and bravery. She will share her experiences that lead to writing the book when she speaks at the Story Fest.
"I would like to encourage and inspire children, and parents as well, to appreciate the majestic and heroic character traits of animals and their spirits," says Pittman. "Animal lovers will be brought to tears by this book, and new fans of the husky will be created for life. These are stories that are adventurous, heartwarming, and never to be forgotten."
The NISD Story Fest will be held on Saturday, May 19, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. It will be at Stinson Middle School, 13200 Skyhawk, San Antonio, TX.
