Online PR News – 24-February-2011 – – Toronto, Canada - GAO Instruments (www.GAOInstruments.com ) has rolled out its multi-purpose and compact data communication tester designed for the creation, maintenance and troubleshooting of digital networks. It conducts both framed and unframed tests on such equipment as primary multiplexers, digital cross connects, automatic protection switches and circuits operating at speeds between 50 bit/s and 2048 kbit/s. This smart tester can measure a variety of devices from low-speed modems to high-speed digital lines.
This data communication tester, model A0030001, features synchronous or asynchronous data transmission and G.821, G.826 and frame analysis. It functions in 2 M offline mode, 2 M online mode, DTE and DCE emulation and error insertion. An error analysis function allows histograms of either error or alarm data to be quickly and easily displayed. The compact tester integrates V series data interfaces, G.703 Co-dir 64kbit/s and G.703-2Mbit/s interfaces for data exchange. Accommodations for future interfaces are also available. It can store the selected measurement results as well as simultaneous error measurement of various parameters in onboard memory. Additionally, this data communication tester is powered by DC9 V external or built-in chargeable batteries operating continuously 4 hours.
