With production and sales up, Atlantic Toyota and Huntington Toyota customers may be seeing Toyota Motor Corp as a stronger company changing in a positive direction, making its way back to its original height of success.

Online PR News – 22-February-2011 – – Atlantic Toyota and Huntington Toyota shoppers have learned about the record-making accomplishment by Toyota Motor Corp. as the corporation became the first single line manufacturer to sell 3 million certified used vehicles. This would be the first time in program history.

Since the beginning of this year, Atlantic Toyota and Huntington Toyota customers may have been reading about the positives shifts in Toyota’s performance. Production has gone up 18 percent, which allows customers a wider selection of vehicles to choose from, and sales have increased 17 percent in January from last year.

Also in recent news, Toyota has been cleared of allegations of a faulty electronic throttle system within their vehicles as was suspected in 2009. Other accomplishments have included winning two awards for Toyota’s Entune Multimedia System as well as the Camry being named Best Selling Car for 2010.
Atlantic Toyota and Huntington Toyota customers may be excited to hear about the newest title with Toyota’s certified used vehicles bringing the corporation back into the eyes of its customers. Before Toyota hit 3 million vehicles sold, Toyota became the first single line manufacturer to break the 300,000 number for certified used sales in 2010, which showed an 18.6 percent over the previous year. A single line manufacturer has only one assembly line where every part of the production process is completed.
To celebrate its success, Toyota awarded its 3 millionth customer, Sara Hirschhorn of Chicago, Illinois, with a check to reimburse her for the $22,470 she spent on her 2008 Sienna. Also as an added bonus, Toyota contributed a matching donation of $22,470 to the NorthShore University HealthSystem Foundation, where Hirschhorn is a nurse, to honor the 3 millionth sale.

The Toyota Sienna won Kelley Blue Book’s Best Resale Value Award in the minivan category two years in a row as well as being named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety.
