Online hotel booking and travel website DirectRooms.com can announce that prominent American singer and songwriter Neil Diamond will perform live in Wellington, New Zealand.
Online PR News – 22-February-2011 – – The concert is scheduled to take place on 4 March 2011 at 7:30PM, at Wellington’s Westpac Stadium. This is the first time that Diamond performs in New Zealand in more than half a decade and organisers note that the live concert will focus on the star songwriter’s most famous pieces.
Neil Diamond is set to perform some of his evergreen classics, including “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers,” “Sweet Caroline,” “Holly Holy” and “Solitary Man.”
Diamond is one of the most recognized names in rock, pop and twentieth century folk music, having performed for audiences around the world for almost half a century. The singer-songwriter’s music career includes 37 singles that made it to the top 10 charts and also landed him a Grammy Award.
Tickets for the Wellington concert are available for between NZ$100 and NZ$200, depending on the requested seating. The Westpac Stadium can seat up to 31,000 guests and also offers an additional 64 corporate boxes. Limited on-site parking is available, for an additional flat rate of NZ$30.
Visitors staying at any Wellington hotel can also enjoy a range of other musical and performing arts venues or events, including the Downstage Theatre, Bats Theatre and regular shows put on by the Wellington Improvisation Troupe.
