Nine international carriers naming Lufthansa German Airlines, Continental Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Swiss International Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Air Canada, Air France and North West Airlines in India have recently moved to zero commissions. Though they acknowledge that travel agents are the drivers in their business, but they remain committed to reduce their distribution costs and hence reduced the commission to zero, in line with their global practices & to focus on their website point selling by their web fares and online promotions.
