Asiamed Steps Up Hiring Ahead of High GPO Demand
Singapore- Medical Device and Diagnostic Industry revealed two days ago that more hospitals will be making medical device disposables a bigger priority. This priority was reflected in the results of 200 senior hospital decision makers across the globe including ASEAN about their budget outlook and purchasing trends for 2011.
The study also shed light into increased usage of Group Purchasing Organisations (GPOs) to make their dollars stretch. GPOs that have traditionally been tapped for sourcing disposables, low-priced and high volume items. To address these procurement demands, Asiamed is putting in place processes to identify and address challenges that either a specific practice is facing or an operation is facing.
To cope with the increased demand from GPOs, Asiamed has already embarked on the recruitment of more sales representatives in ASEAN. Elaine Cheah, HR Manager for Asiamed further added that she is looking out for candidates from the hospital backgrounds, who can maintain a culture of exceptional integrity, a sense of humour, energy and high commitment.
