Market Research Dry Strength additives in Special Paper Chemicals in China

CCM published a report on deinking chemicals in July 2010, Dry Strength Additives in Specialty Paper Chemicals in China. This report mainly discusses the Coatings market in China from Government policy, competitive landscape, Involvement of foreign companies, Market share of foreign companies vs. Chinese companies, and how it’s effects on special paper chemicals (SPCs).

Online PR News – 19-February-2011 – – Dry strength additives are added to the paper/board machine to impart an increase in strength properties to the final sheet. The mechanism for this is usually an increase in bonding sites on the fibres, although some dry strength aids function by providing stronger bonds. Typical additives for this purpose are starch (usually cationic, but sometimes amphoteric), resin type polymers and cationic polymers. Carboxy methyl cellulose (CMC) and various types of naturally occuring gums can also be used, either as single additions or in conjunction with other dry strength aids.
China has big power on SPCs industry (in third place only to the US and Japan), in these few years, the market of dry strength keeps growing steadily, and it will gain momentum in the future.
