Online PR News – 29-April-2009 – – KEY WEST, FL - The stage is set for the14th annual Key West Songwriters' Festival. The festival begins April 29 and lasts through May 3, 2009.

For five days and five nights, Key West visitors and locals will be able to enjoy over 20 free concerts from more than 100 of the country's best songwriters at the island's most popular hot spots. The festival is sponsored by Better Angels Music and benefits the Muzak Heart & Soul Foundation. The goal of the foundation is to support music education and help students discover how they can make a living in the music business.

"Our Key West hotels are busily preparing for the influx of music lovers that come to see the performances at the Key West Songwriters' Festival. Some of the country's best known songwriters attend every year and this year is no different. In fact, this year we have the honor of hosting three members of the Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame for the first time - Paul Overstreet, Bob DiPiero and Dennis Morgan. These three are responsible for country music hits like 'When You Say Nothing At All,' 'Clear Blue Sky,' and 'She Keeps The Home Fires Burning,' just to name a few," said Chris Gardner of Best On Key West.
