Yahoo! Offers Lifeline to Third Sector

Third Sector Finance joins Whitebox to offset effects of royal mail strike on worried charities. Yahoo offers a financial solution to funding problems

Online PR News – 05-November-2009 – – Third Sector Finance joins forces with Whitebox in a bid to find solutions for troubled third sector organisations in the UK. With Christmas fast approaching the Royal Mail strike will have a drastic effect on already struggling charities and social enterprises. Organisations who rely heavily on a Christmas mail campaign will have to find new funding solutions if they are to survive. Yahoo is offering a free of charge lifeline to those working in the sector.
In May 2008, Yahoo partnered with Whitebox to provide UK charities with a free website with a dedicated link search box. Each time a search is made through the dedicated link, Yahoo will donate to that charity. Organisations have the choice of a brand new customised website or a link box that they can add to their own site. Links can be provided to an unlimited number of users so that friends, family and supporters can also join in the fundraising. Hebbourn of Third Sector Finance said “ this is a fantastic opportunity for organisations to raise money with very little effort, freeing up precious time to get on with what they do best.”
