Phoenix, Arizona: Tru Flask an insulated water bottle and accessories company in Phoenix has announced a fundraising/awareness partnership with 501c3 Scottsdale non-profit Brave Soul Blankets. Brave Soul Blankets was founded in January of 2017 by Melaney Niemiec a 24-year-old Scottsdale woman battling a myriad of life altering conditions. In 2016 Niemiec was a new college grad, working her dream job as a nurse at PCH. Always very active and into fitness it was a complete shock to all who knew her when she suddenly fell sick and was forced to spend 32 straight days in the hospital. Subsequently she was diagnosed with several life-altering conditions, but instead of giving up, she started Brave Soul Blankets to fight back and support others in similar predicaments. Brave Soul Blankets creates handmade blankets for young adults diagnosed with life altering conditions.

On how the collaboration came to be, Tru Flask Marketing Director Lad Makinde says, “We met Melaney and her Mother Annette at a Trade Show event in October of 2017, they shared their story and it was a no brainer. We wanted to figure out a way to get involved.”

Indeed, they have, the company has partnered with Phoenix based artist Sydney Cisco to create a special limited edition design for Brave Soul. The design has been laser-etched onto Tru Flask’s insulated water bottles, and will be sold online with ALL sales benefiting Brave Soul’s efforts.
