Montredo is proud to present its first pop-up store, NO BARRIERS, at Soto Berlin. As Europe’s leading online shop for new luxury watches, Montredo has been transforming the luxury watch e-commerce market since 2012. The pop-up store, NO BARRIERS, is an extension of Montredo’s online presence. It is conceptualised to rethink the retail of mechanical watches to a new class of watch lovers who does not only have an affinity to great style, but also a strong interest in the traditional craft of mechanical watchmaking. A selection of 10 watches from Omega, TAG Heuer, and Nomos are curated by Montredo and Soto for these customers in minds. The pop-up store has taken down the traditional trappings of most jewelers, the bouncers and the vitrines, allowing the customers to try the watches on first hand.
With NO BARRIERS, Montredo hopes to usher in a new configuration of luxury watch retail for a younger group of watch connoisseurs who appreciation great craftsmanship and style . “There is no denying that the shopping experience of a mechanical watch can be quite intimidating to some. You have to get past the security staff and ask for a specific watch that you’d like to try on. If you don’t want to buy the watch right away, this can make you uncomfortable.”, said Mr. Philipp Budiman, Montredo CEO. “We founded Montredo 6 years ago with one belief - bringing the appreciation of mechanical watches into the digital age. As Montredo grows, we also see an immense potential of a younger group of watch lovers at the age of 25 - 35, who are rediscovering the outstanding craftsmanship of mechanical timepieces. We just thought, why don’t we create this experience and let our customers to try these watches on first-hand.”
NO BARRIERS is available at Soto Berlin at Torstrasse 72 from now until 28th February, 2018. On display are 10 watches curated by Montredo and Soto, which range from the all-time classics like the Omega Speedmaster to the newcomers like the NOMOS Metro.
