TotelFootball has signed a deal with IrishEyes Poker to launch IrishEyes Football, a new fantasy football betting product.

Online PR News – 04-February-2011 – – TotelFootball has signed a deal with IrishEyes Poker to launch IrishEyes Football, a new fantasy football betting product.

TotelFootball operates a betting service which brings the excitement of Tote-style pool betting to the already great format of fantasy football games. Like existing games, fantasy managers pick a team of 11 players from teams in selected Premiership fixtures. The selected players will earn points based on their performance in the real-life fixtures. The better the players perform, the more points a team will earn and the higher up the league table the fantasy manager’s team will finish.

The game differs from the existing fantasy manager games as follows:
(1) Unlike other fantasy football games, this is very much a betting service. Each customer must bet money to enter a team into the competition pool. This creates a large prize pool, with 80% of the pool paid out as prize money to the top 5% of managers.
(2) It’s a single pool across all TotelFootball partners. The TotelFootball network will ensure a liquid pool for Irish Eyes Football customers in much the same way that the Entraction network does for Irish Eyes Poker players.
(3) It’s a new game each week, so customers will be engaged throughout the entire Premiership season.

Irish Eyes head of business development Steven Merrick said: "Our goal is to deliver the best possible gaming experience to our customers. We already offer poker, casino and sports betting services, so adding a product which will appeal to sports betting punters and to fantasy football enthusiasts was a logical next step."

TotelFootball was founded by Declan O'Sullivan to exploit the huge opportunity presented by the emerging fantasy sports betting market. At present TotelFootball is focussed on the UK Premiership, but will expand to other major European football leagues and competitions over the coming months.
