ASN Connects for Successful Conference

Arts Schools Network partners with Disney, NAMM, the Wenger Corporation and Entertainment Business Education for their 2011 annual conference.

Online PR News – 02-February-2011 – – The Arts Schools Network (ASN) ­successfully showed the value of networking at its annual conference in Anaheim, California, January 10-15, 2011. In addition to member's contributions to educational sessions, site visits, and student­/performances, companies and organizations including Disney, the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM), the Wenger Corporation and Entertainment Business Education (EBE), actively supported ASN's goals at the conference.

Disney contributed to the conference's educational and entertaining agenda through speakers, workshops and events. Held at Disneyland, the conference gave ASN ­participants a first-hand look at the vast range of career opportunities and paths that Disney offers students in the arts, from theater, dance and music to animation, ­administration and engineering.

Offering advice and practical case studies on the construction and renovation of ­facilities, the Wenger Corporation participated in a number of best practice sessions. Wenger provides high-quality products and solutions for music and theatre education, performance and athletic equipment storage and transport, and has been a valuable resource for ASN member schools.

Conference participants also enjoyed access to the largest music products trade show in the world, the NAMM Show, which included how-to demonstrations, informational ­sessions, and exposure to the latest trends, solutions and products in music and ­lighting. The NAMM Foundation, which funds charities, advocacy programs and ­initiatives, presented workshops and sessions that explored music teaching formats
and technologies.
