This year’s Tallow Chandler prizes have been awarded to five Cass executive MBA students after successful research and achievement towards dissertations.
Online PR News – 02-November-2009 – – The Worshipful Company of Tallow Chandlers presented their annual awards to the authors of the top three Cass executive MBA Business Mastery Projects (BMPs) for 2009 at a special dinner on Thursday 8 October.
The first prize went to Ilan Hanohov, who did his dissertation on law firms’ billing practices. Caleb Hulme-Moir and Leonardo Castellanos were awarded second prize for their business plan for a bespoke shirt company. The third prize went to Gareth Wood and Mark Dickenson who conducted their project as part of the ongoing research at Professor Scott Moeller’s M&A Research Centre (MARC).
Each year, the Worshipful Company of Tallow Chandlers gives an annual prize for the best three dissertations from the most recent graduates of the full-time Cass MBA (http://www.cass.city.ac.uk/mba/index.html) and Executive MBA cohorts. The Tallow Chandlers hold a special dinner at which engraved candle sticks are presented to the winners.

Top Business Mastery Projects (BMPs) are put forward in July and winners are chosen on the basis of making a real contribution to organisational, commercial or managerial effectiveness, being of value to the client and using well structured and evidence-based arguments.
