About the Winning Collections:

Printemps by Carsten Gollnick
ICONIC AWARDS 2018: Innovative Interior Winner
A piece both subtle and overwhelming, the Printemps centerpiece created by Carsten Gollnick challenges porcelain production techniques, in terms of shape and size. It features 18 identical pieces placed side-by-side, supported by a wire construction and fixed in an axis, creating a truly unique piece.

Midnight by Mendel Heit
ICONIC AWARDS 2018: Innovative Interior Winner
The Midnight collection by German designer Mendel Heit features a contemporary cobalt blue design that utilizes innovative decorative techniques used in both porcelain and crystal. Reinterpreting the drawings of the tableware line, Margão, the Midnight collection is adorned with a floral motif that is created through a technique in which its dark glaze is delicately removed by hand to produce the intricate patterns adorning each piece.
