Ocala FL: Honda of Ocala donates car to woman battling breast cancer so she can get to and from the hospital.
Online PR News – 27-January-2011 – – Honda of Ocala was in the news over the weekend for their work with the Community With a Heart campaign. While the campaign raised more than $68,000 for Ocala residents in need, Honda of Ocala went the extra mile by donating a car to local Ocala mother Suzanne Moore.
Moore, who is battling stage 3 breast cancer, lacked reliable transportation to get to and from her chemotherapy treatments in Tampa, which prompted Honda of Ocala general sales manager Steven Hoggle to get involved.
“What moved me about Suzanne is that she was not just a lady down on her luck, but she was volunteering in the community, involved with her son and always thinking about other people when she had so much on her plate to be worried about.” Hoggle said.
Ms. Moore took delivery on her new Nissan Sentra on January 1st, complete with a full tank of gas, and will have all service expenses covered by Honda of Ocala.
“Whatever she needs for the car we will take care of it,” Hoggle added.
