Framingham Toyota dealer proudly introduces Toyota’s new Safety Connect feature. Woburn Toyota now sells Prius vehicles equipped with the 24 hour emergency response feature.
Online PR News – 30-October-2009 – – Woburn Toyota, serving the greater Boston, Framingham and Woburn areas, now offers the new Toyota Prius vehicles equipped with Toyota’s Safety Connect feature. The 2010 Prius was recently voted Japan’s Car of the Year.
Safety Connect by Toyota ‘connects’ drivers who need assistance to a 24 hour response center with the simple press of an Emergency Assistance Button labeled “SOS.” Cellular and GPS technology enables the response center to quickly determine the location of the vehicle so help can be dispatched. Toyota’s new Safety Connect system can also supply local service providers the vehicle’s location should the driver need Road Assistance such as towing, jump starts, a tire change, or emergency delivery of fluids.
Safety Connect offers drivers an Automatic Collision Notification that is designed to notify the Safety Connect response center after airbag deployment or a severe rear-end collision. In those instances, the center will deploy emergency help to the scene of the accident. The GPS system also allows for stolen vehicles to be located much quicker, improving the chances of recovery.
The system is currently available only on select new 2010 Toyota Prius models, but will also soon be included on the newly redesigned 2010 Toyota 4Runner. The system will later be expanded to cover additional models.
