Frequently Asked Questions
Will I have input into the editing process?
Absolutely. We recommend you suggest questions for the interview in advance. A final version of the questions will be sent to you prior to the interview. If you would like any of them changed, we can make edits to the questions before the interview date. Additionally, after the interview, a produced version of the podcast will be sent to you for review. Any requests for edits to the audio can be made at that time.
How are things handled if I "mess up" and want to restart a section?
The podcast will be recorded digitally. If you need to stop and start over, the "mess up" will be edited out.
Who will be interviewing me?
You will be interviewed public relations pro, podcast producer and former broadcast journalist Steve Mullen, founder of EndGame Public Relations. EndGame PR is responsible for a number of corporate podcast series including flagship podcast Startup BizCast. Named one of 100 PR People Worth Following on Twitter, Steve Mullen offers expertise in public relations, social media and information technology.
What is the process for recording/editing the podcast?
The audio interview will be conducted over the telephone. Prior to the interview, we will suggest you send us a list of questions to be asked. If you prefer, we will review your release and write questions ourselves. Once the interview questions are finalized, we will schedule a time for the interview phone call. The interview phone call shouldn't need to last more than 20-30 minutes. Once the interview is over, you'll receive an email with the produced podcast for your review. If you request edits, we'll make them, and then post the finished product on the OPN website. You'll also receive a copy of the produced podcast, in mp3 format, via email.
What is the timeframe from start to finish?
This depends upon how much discussion is needed about interview questions and whether edits will need to be made to the finished product. After we record the interview, you should receive a copy of the podcast for evaluation within a couple of days.
How are podcasts uploaded/named in iTunes?
The podcast will be listed in the Online PR News iTunes store as an Online PR News podcast, but each episode is titled with the client's name or company name. Instructions can be found online that tell you how to make your own RSS feed and submit it to iTunes.
How long can my podcast be?
Podcasts produced through OPN will be approximately five minutes in length.
Do you have any interview tips?
Even though you'll have a copy of the questions in advance, it is recommended that you do NOT script your answers. Instead, it would be best to have short bullet point notes in front of you, so you don't forget what you want to say. Additionally, try to keep your answers to approximately one minute each, if possible. That way, you'll have time to answer four or five questions.

Testimonial
“I can't say enough good things about Onlineprnews.com, but I'm going to try. First, we're extremely happy with the top notch service that Christine and Tara have provided. It's very hard, if not impossible, to find this level of dedication in a press release service.
However, that's just one of several reasons we use their service. At Irbtrax we are extremely focused on results, and Onlineprnews.com has repeatedly delivered. Our average SEO and Social Media enhanced press release has generated over 170 visitors to our websites. Which is an amazing bargain for such a low cost. Additionally, their releases have true “visibility power”. They remain on Google, sometimes on the 2nd or 3rd page, for our top keyword search phrases for months at a time. This secondary gain is often overlooked, but equally important. If anyone has any reason to doubt what I'm saying, I would be pleased to provide the evidence if they take the time to contact me.”
