Online PR News – 24-August-2013 – Derby, UK – The JDR Group recently took part in the National Blind Children’s Society Campaign focusing on guessing where Penny the toy Sheep was from. JDR and other businesses and organisations throughout the UK raised vital funds for the National Blind Children’s Society to go towards supporting Blind Children to ensure they can fulfil their personal goals in life, through education and recreational activities.
The whole of the JDR Group Office Team each donated £1 towards the charity for the chance to guess the location of Penny the Sheep and raised over £50 for the Charity. Matthew Tudge from the JDR Group guessed the correct location and was rewarded with the Penny the Sheep Toy Prize.
The National Blind Children’s Society organises a range of fundraising events throughout the year including the London Marathon, London to Paris Cycling Challenge and Trekking Challenges as well as Soft Toy fundraising games, Donations, Sponsorship and school Events such as non-uniform day. The NBCS Charity is also combined with the Guide Dog Charity which helps both the visually impaired children and their parents to reduce the challenges that they are facing. There are approximately over 24,000 visually impaired children in the UK, many with additional needs so the NBCS Charity tries to support these children so that they can achieve their personal educational goals and fulfil their recreational activities and hobbies.
