River Valley Designs Part of Official Talent Gift Lounge in Honor of The 46th Annual CMA Awards

River Valley Designs jewelry will be showcased and gifted to the biggest names in country music backstage at The 46th Annual CMA Awards taking place October 29 – November 1, 2012 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN.

Online PR News – 24-October-2012 – Shadyside, Ohio – River Valley Designs (http://www.RiverValleyJewelry.etsy.com), in association with The Artisan Group, will participate in the official talent gift lounge in honor of The 46th Annual CMA Awards on October 29 – November 1, 2012 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

River Valley Designs will have its hand-stamped metal guitar pick necklace, with the quote, “Where words fail, music speaks,” showcased on display at The Artisan Group’s exhibit. The same necklace will be gifted to the biggest names in country music backstage at The Awards. This event will also be attended by over 25 media and press outlets.

Danielle Kritz, owner/designer at River Valley Designs, is known for her personalized, hand stamped jewelry, accessories and custom guitar picks but designed the "Where words fail" guitar pick pendant necklace especially for The CMA Awards. Kritz hand stamped each letter on the pendant. She then oxidized the impressions, sanded the pick smooth and finished it with a rustic, brushed finish. The pendant hangs from a 2.4mm, 24-inch long stainless steel ball chain.

Kritz is a music buff and was thrilled to receive an invitation from The Artisan Group to participate in the CMA Awards gifting. “I knew it would be a challenge to create 85 pendants and a display piece plus design packaging while keeping up with an already packed production schedule,” noted Kritz, “but it was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. The fact that the CMA Awards Board had to approve each gift makes this an especially significant honor.”

Where words fail

Each River Valley Design piece is made to order by Kritz using a time-intensive hand-stamping technique alongside traditional metalworking methods. “Hand stamping is the art of using steel stamps to impress a letter or image permanently onto metal,” explained Kritz. “I hand stamp each letter and image one-by-one. Since I can’t erase mistakes there is literally no room for error. It can be taxing, but I enjoy every minute of it and am proud to be part of the tradition.”

Kritz has designed jewelry for celebrities including Amanda Seyfried and Mila Kunis. Kritz also created a “Be the change you wish to see in the world” cuff for singer Jordin Sparks, who was spotted wearing it when she accepted her “Power of Youth” Award in September. Most recently, Kritz designed and sent a mixed metal pendant with chalcedony and Swarovski pearls, hand stamped with the letter “H”, to the stylist for ABC Family’s popular television show, “Pretty Little Liars.” The piece was designed for character “Hanna Marin.” Kritz is awaiting word on whether it will be worn during an upcoming episode.

Besides her celebrity gifting initiatives, Kritz has been recognized for her business success. In September she was featured on the popular website, IWantHerJob.com and has also snagged a coveted “Quit Your Day Job” feature on the popular shopping portal, Etsy. The Etsy Quit Your Day Job article ran Tuesday, October 23. Check it out here: http://etsy.me/P0FGuX.

The jewelry creations of River Valley Designs (http://www.RiverValleyJewelry.etsy.com) reflect a minimalist aesthetic but just as strongly they speak to the heart. Whether it’s a Mom necklace for her or a monogrammed tie tack for him, clean lines and classic forms with a lighthearted touch define owner-designer Danielle Kritz’s bespoke line. But those who look closely will see painstakingly applied, hand-stamped sentiments that express something singular about the wearer. Kritz meticulously handcrafts her designs from sterling silver using a range of metalworking techniques. Her joy is capturing the wearer’s unique story with her hand-stamping tools to create a piece of heirloom quality jewelry that will be worn today and treasured tomorrow.
