Survey blog starts an annual awards for paid survey websites.
Online PR News – 29-June-2012 – Elkhorn, NE – Paid survey website SurveySpencer.com has released its first annual list of the best paid survey sites on the internet. The site hopes that the list will help people sign up for the highest-paying and most reliable legit online surveys for money on the internet.
According to site founder Spencer Mitchell, the site used 4 weighted criteria to evaluate each website: legitimacy, reliability, payouts and flexibility. Mitchell explains why legitimacy was chosen as the most important criteria: "While there are at least 100 surveys for money websites that offer real payouts and rewards, there are several hundred more that exist just to get people's contact information or credit card number. Because this is such a widespread problem in the paid surveys community, we wanted to emphasize that we would only consider sites that offer legitimate online surveys for money. Absolutely zero of the sites on our list ask for payment of any kind --which is an indicator of a trustworthy website."
Mitchell it quick to add that reliability is nearly as important as legitimacy, and in fact, the two go hand in hand. He adds, "Reliability in our case it simple: does the site have a proven track record of consistent payouts? Do they respond promptly to feedback?. These basic factors were used when assessing how reliable a paid survey site was." The evaluation team also looked into the age of the site as another proxy indicator of reliability.
The site's team also took into account survey payouts, which can vary wildly between different paid survey websites. Unlike the first two criteria, payouts were evaluated simply as an average of payment per survey. The team found that some survey sites offered more than double the compensation of their competitors. Flexibility was determined by the different ways survey respondents could reap rewards. Sites that offer the option to get paid in cash, check, direct deposit, gift card, prizes and rewards were rated higher than those that only offered a single option, the site's team notes.
Which surveys for money sites came out on top? The #1 site on their list was Synovate, receiving a 95 out of a possible 100 points. Mitchell points out what makes Synovate a cut above other survey sites: "While the competition at the top was very close, we ultimately decided that Synovate was the best option because it pays well, pays often and pays on time. Also, the site has been around for nearly a decade and has been able to land exclusive deals with top brands, which translate to high-paying surveys for money."
The other finalists in the awards were Light Speed, YouGov and The Brand Institute. Mitchell adds that all 3 of these sites are worthy of accolades for their commitment towards compensating people for their opinion: "One thing I noticed from our research was that the best sites tended to be around the longest. We think that these long-standing sites are committed to creating a fair and welcoming online surveys for money community."
