Online PR News – 02-May-2012 – Arlington, Tennessee – MadiBella, in association with The Artisan Group, was recently selected to include its girl’s Peasant Top and Ruffle Skirt in a collaborative gift bag prepared for Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis.
Designer Charity Helvie, owner of MadiBella, specializes in custom boutique clothing for children from 3 months to 10 years. For the Giada De Laurentiis gift bag, she created a Peasant Top and Ruffle Skirt for De Laurentiis’ four year old daughter Jade.
“From what I hear, Jade is a girly girl, so I knew I wanted to do something feminine with pink in it,” said Helvie. The two piece skirt and top outfit, which is perfect for warm weather, is made from 100% cotton designer fabric. As a special touch, Helvie embroidered the name Jade across the bodice of the blouse.
Giada De Laurentiis has already had a sneak peek at the outfit, which Helvie posted in a link on her Etsy shop recently. "I was thrilled to receive a Tweet from Giada that said, 'Such a cute outfit,'" smiled Helvie. “I can't wait for her to see it in person.”
Helvie notes that Bryn Frankel recently received a MadiBella peasant dress and matching headband as part of an exclusive gift bag prepared for Bethenny Frankel, and MadiBella business cards were included in Mother’s Day 2012 gift bags that were sent to 25 of Hollywood’s most talked about Moms in April, including Jennifer Garner, Beyonce and Uma Thurman. Both projects were coordinated by The Artisan Group, a juried community of talented artisans who provide a sampling of handcrafted products to celebrities and members of the press.
Helvie designs and sews her MadiBella fashions out of her home studio in Arlington, Tennessee. She draws on her love of color and fabric to create charming but practical designs that range from girl's ruffle pants, reversible dresses and headbands to sturdy shorts and tees for boys. “My goal is to delight customers with a fun choice of mix and match pieces that change with the seasons,” said Helvie. The line’s most popular items are the girl's Peasant dress and the girl's Ruffle Bubble romper.
Helvie established MadiBella as a girl’s boutique clothing line in 2009. The MadiBoy line came about in response to customer requests for boy’s boutique clothing. “Lots of customers were asking for boy’s items. Also, moms particularly in the south love matching sibling outfits, so I've helped solve that problem too," laughed Helvie.
